Skincare & Makeup

A running list of my current favorite cleaner, greener skincare and makeup products.

My skin type: normal to dry, acne here and there, early 20’s

My skin color: light-medium with yellow undertones

EWG rating: the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep® cosmetic database lists hazard ratings for nearly 70,000 products and 9,000 ingredients on the market. The U.S. government doesn’t review the toxicity of products before they’re sold.

Noncomedogenic: does not have pore-clogging ingredients, I use Acne Clinic NYC’s tool for checking this.

Cruelty free🐇: I use products that are cruelty free (not tested on animals) in the U.S. This can range from the products being Leaping Bunny, Beauty without Bunnies, or Choose Cruelty Free verified or claimed to be cruelty free by the company itself. A few of the brands below may be tested on animals in other countries, refer to each brand’s website to verify.
